I was driving up route 83 this morning and noticed a Under New Management banner at the restaurant. Now, I could of swore I read a story about the restaurant changing hands about a year ago. The new owner was a sushi chef from California, if memory serves, and they were adding sushi to the menu.

Has it changed hands again or is my memory failing me? ANyone know the story.

Anyone eaten there recently? Last time I ate there must of been over 10 years ago but it was quite good.

had lunch there a few months back and it was under Korean ownership; food was uneventful and unmemorable. the menu was a fusion of Korean-Chinese-Asian / American seafood and was a bit bizarre...

(hmf, can i be more nonspecific, vague and generally unhelpful?)

I knew nothing of the change of ownership. I ate here once a year or two ago, presumably under the prior ownership, and it was delicious and reasonably priced. It was a good place for hubby and I to go to prior to events at the Allstate arena. Too bad to hear that it seems to have gone downhill. I'd be interested to hear more so I can decide whether to avoid it entirely or whether to visit again.

I think it's Korean owned now-their massage parlor is just steps away. The last time we ate at Crab and Things i believe it was owned by a Japanese couple. It was really great, really great.Minus the extensive menu,it put Bob Chinn's to shame.

Anyone been recently? Wondering if it's worth a stop with new management.

I've always thought the restaurant would be a lot funnier named "Crab and Thing"

We finally went in to check it out. I've gone to Crab N Things for about a decade or more under the old ownership. It has been slowly declining over the years. Still the entrees were pretty decent. Under the new ownership, the interior lighting is brighter and the salad bar slightly better.

But the food we ordered wasn't worth it. Too much cream in the clam chowder. The chef's special combo of scallops, shrimp, and lobster was a shadow of its previous self. A little bitter and the lobster chunks were tough maybe old. The grilled grouper was disappointing as well.
    There are better choices elsewhere.
