    Hey all-

My girlfriend and I are thinking of going to Treat for the three-course dinner on New Year's Eve. I looked around a bit online but couldn't find any worthwhile reviews or advice. Has anyone here ever been there? If so, what's it like?

The menu itself looks pretty tasty for NYE, but I have no idea how their food is generally.

    First course, choose:
Crab chevre bisque w/ garlic toast points
    Cauliflower soup w/ cumin bread

    Second course, choose:
    Golden beet and fennel salad
Watercress quince salad w/ bacon dressing

    Third course, choose:
Banana leaf wrapped skate taro mash w/ pickled beets
    Ribeye steak w/ mashed plantains
    Vegetable napoleon w/ spinach puree

    Any advice?

    Treat

My advice is the same advice I give out every New Year's Eve, namely that you shouldn't go anyplace expecting them to be serving the best food that they can. New Year's Eve is crazy at any restaurant worth its salt and most serve from a pre-prepared list of a few specialties. Go for the fun of being out on New Year's Eve, but don't be too disappointed if you don't get a top notch meal wherever you decide to go.
