Where would people suggest for a business lunch in Oak Park? I'm looking for something that's not too casual, not too stuffy and will allow a business discusssion.

    Hey MAG,

Oak Park has the fancypants (for OP) Cafe Le Coq (though maybe it's a little too delicate) or Marion Street Grill (upper mid-level chow, nice enough room), or Cucina Paradiso (white tablecloth Italian, a little more stylish) , but I think you might do better going to Forest Park (right next door) to either Jimmy's Place (red sauce Italian bar cum restaurant) or La Piazza (much nicer, higher-end Italian, what you could fairly label "cuisine"). Any of these places could be suitable for a business lunch, and most have sites -- if any in particular catch your interest, I can tell you more.

Do you happen to know whether Jimmy's Place is open for lunch. Unfortunately, the other three are not.

Sorry! -- some of these places used to have lunch (VI and I had lunch at La Piazza some months ago), but apparently do not anymore.

I did have lunch at Jimmy's Place a few weeks ago -- and I just called: they serve lunch Tuesday thru Friday, starting at 11:30. Pretty good hamburger...

I'd suggest going just outside the Oak Park borders for Thai, either Amarinds, on the Chicago side of North Ave, or Yum Thai, on Madison in Forest Park. According to Metromix, they both serve lunch and much as I love Jimmy's, I think either would be quieter and more conducive to a business discussion.
