Wow, great job guys! I signed up already for the family plan so we all can have this whether eating together or apart. And I think the integrated GPS option that downloads the directions straight to my car really makes it unbeatable

The sad part of this whole thing is that despite this ground breaking new service, the press still won't write/talk about it. LTH gets no respect. You would think that it might have rated at least a passing mention in Time Out Chicago.

That is exactly why it is so important just to go around them straight to the people, our peeps.

But, really, at this moment of great achievement for the LTH crew, I would prefer to focus on the positive. No hating, just celebrating .

Sorry to be a hater, but I find this "service" to be a huge RIP OFF. Metromix's version is $4.95 (first 3 months free) and when you call you don't have some truculent guy yell at you about what real barbecue is. Instead, you get a helpful recommendation for a restaurant, given by the restaurant's owner.

Utilitarian that I am, I never considered the entertainment aspect - just calling in for the pure pleasure of speaking to an operator.

Comparing it to Metromix is like comparing the complete dining and entertainment experience of Ed Debevic's to the excellent service and impeccable food of McDonald's - sure McDonald's is great and does a great job, but I just need a little attitude and atmosphere on the side to make it a complete dining experience. Go Ed (Debevic), Gwiv and Cathy.

Apparently the staff at Mealstar™ must be overwhelmed. When I tried to register I received this canned message:

Today, only people whose names start A-L can purchase. The rest of you try tomorrow.

I've recently had the same problem purchasing a list of foreclosed property.
