Out of all the middle easter restaurents in Chicago, Jerusalem Cafe in Oak Park has it all, clean, tasty and very in-expensive.
The falafel tastes just like the one I had in Jerusalem.
    I do recommend it.

Before the shill-alarms go off for too many people, I wonder if mousa could tell exactly why it's so good. I'm craving some Taste of Lebanon or Reza's at the moment and could probably be convinced to try something new.

Is there a website? And how's the shawerma/kebab?

While I have only been to J Cafe once, I will offer that it is not destination dining by any means IMO. It is clean, inexpensive, and tasty, but, not only do I think there are better Mid- Eastern restaurants in all of Chicagoland, there are better Mid -Eastern restaurants in Oak Park: Grape Leaves.

    P.s. I'd pick Reza's over J Cafe in a heartbeat.

It is at least an improvement over the worst Panda Express franchise ever which previously occupied the space: perpetually burned fried rice reeking of industrial wok-cleaner and openly racist owners.

The falafel is very good. Everything else I've tried has been mediocre. The location--right next to the Lake Theater--means I've had a lot of their falafel.

I would have to disagree. Taste of Lebanon is 100 times better, I did not think the falafel was that great, it too bad that there is not a good mid eastern place in Oak Park. Grapeleaves is ok, but nothing like the Pita Inn or Taste of Lebanaon
