We passed a new tapas place on Milwaukee Ave.I think the name is Solara.Just S of Cy's.I tried looking up the address for Cy's and apparently there are two in the area. Not sure if this was the Wheeling or Buffalo Grove location. When I get more details I will update unless some on else has the info.

Its a new venture by Roger Greenfield, the same guy who owns the Bar Louie chain. Lets wait and see before the jury goes out on it though.

I vaguely remember that Greenfield had several restaurants here a while ago - late 80's/early 90's maybe - and one went bankrupt, then the rest collapsed - the financing of each was interconnected. Then he was gone from the scene for a while, before coming back with Bar Louie. Does anyone else remember this, andn can fill in the details?

Several restaurants: Dixie Bar and Grill on Chicago ave., The Saloon Steakhouse on Chestnut, and I vaguely recall one on Orleans where Nacional 27 is. There are probably a few more that I can't think of. Yes, he did fall into trouble with them and left many vendors holding the bag. It is a wonder he was even able to resurrect himself in the Chicago market at all.
