I've eaten at Jazmyn's about a half a dozen times since it opened 4 blocks from my home. This is a wonderful place for chicken skin addicts. The brown stew chicken is rich, delicious, and respectfully chickeny. Curry chiken is similarly wonderful, as is its cousin the curried goat. All three come with steamed rice or rice and "peas", which are red beans. I've never gotten the plain rice, and can't imagine I ever will.

They do dailies, and my favorite of the few I've tried is Stew Peas on Thursday. Very good dish for folks who like dumplin's. Great winter time fare. Fried plantains are great eaten in, bad taken out. Sandwich selections should be ignored.

The entrees go about 7 or 8 bucks, come with a salad and feed about 1 and a half people, maybe 2 for lunch. All in all I give it a big thumbs up, WAY UP! It's in the shopping center at the corner of Dodge and Dempster.

    Dig in,

    Alex
