Hello LTH,
Circumstances have suddenly changed and a celebratory meal I am looking forward to tomorrow at TAC Quick will now include Mr Views, celiac and all.
While we don't eat out as often as many here, we know the basics regarding the allergy/intolerance stuff, so I'm not looking for generic advice like, "The wok may be contaminated" or "Eating out is risky." I am looking for anything that would give us a bit of an edge eating at this particular restaurant. . .or let me know I need to only go there when he's not with me.
For those of you who are regulars, is there anyone in particular I should ask to speak to? Will language be a barrier?
I will happily bring my own sauces (if they use Tiparos, their fish sauce is fine) such as a light soy, dark soy, oyster, a curry paste, or even my own tapioca or rice wraps for spring rolls. Will this resaurant feel comfortable using our ingredients?
Generally speaking, we find most restaurants fall into one of three camps A) Fall over themselves to help B) Tell us that we can have plain lettuce and water, or C) Somewhere in the middle. From everyone's experience with TAC, where do you think they'd fall on that scale?
Thanks in advance - I appreciate any tips that may help us ensure that both of us have a deliciously wonderful meal - whether it is there or elsewhere.
