B Ryan on Chowhound wondered what the ceramic bowls over sterno were at Spoon Thai. As far as I know, that's just soup or curry soup. I've had the Laotian style curry soup served that way, and I have had the pork foot tom yum served that way. Any other guesses?

What's the "super healthy" soup on the Tribune secret menu? I think that was served that way too. Anyway, it's pretty much any of the soups if served in large enough quantity for a table, I think.

Thanks for the update Rob. It didn't seem soupy to my eyes, but I only got a brief glance.

Will ask the next time I'm there.

    How was the soup, BTW?

The healthy soup is awesome! I always order it. It has veggies and shrimp in this zesty soup. Sadly, my palate cannot decipher the flavors, but they are fantastic. It is a healthy soup - I swear it warded off a cold I was getting around new year's.
