    Hello,

I am new to your forum and had a question if anybody knew if SUGAR Desert Bar was still open? There is no answer on their phone#.

Also wondered if anybody had other suggestions for late night desert stops?

    Thanks,

    Bud

Sugar is definitely closed. I believe the successor at the space (108 W. Kinzie) is La Pomme Rouge.

If Sugar burned down, shouldn't they name the place built on that site Caramel?

Caramel (on North Ave.) burnt itself out some time ago :)

Whenever this place is spoken of, MumonA's withering analysis of the place comes to mind.

Thanks for the link to MumonA's post. I've never felt such kinship and camaraderie to a person based on a single sentence:
