Julio's in Lake Zurich (in the north part of the long strip mall at 22 and 12) is damned good, don't miss the Ropa Vieja. A little on the upscale side, but what do you expect for LZ?

Middle Eastern doesn't go much further than Pita Inn, I'm afraid (Dundee & 83 in Wheeling, Milwaukee north of Golf in Niles), at least as far as I've discovered.

If you are willing to head east to Highland Park I HIGHLY recommend Phoenicia for Middle Eastern. Great service and delicious food!
