I am going to be in Highland Park tomorrow night and was wondering if anyone knew of any good Jewish style delis in the area that would be open that would have good soup.

Anything in the North Shore South of Highland Park will work.

    Thanks so much!

    Hi,

In Highland Park, both close relatively early so call ahead to make sure your timing works with their hours:

    Max's Delicatessen & Restaurant
    191 Skokie Boulevard
    Highland Park, IL 60035
    847-831-0600
Full service restaurant with very large menu and several types of soup.

    Once Upon A Bagel
    http://onceuponabagel.com
    (847) 433-1411
    1888 1st St
    Highland Park, IL 60035
Stand in line, order your food, then sit down and your food is brought to your table. I like their mish-mosh soup for the chicken and chopped vegetables mixed into the soup.

West of Highland Park in Deerfield who are both open later than the HP recommendations:

    Max & Benny's Restaurant
    461 Waukegan Rd
    Northbrook, IL 60062
    (847) 272-9490
Another full service Jewish restaurant with great soup.

    George's Whats Cooking?
    350 South Waukegan Road
    Deerfield, IL 60015
    847-412-9360
Is a Greek owned family restaurant with a definite Jewish slant and great soup.

    Regards,

    HI,

I went to Max's Delicatessen in Highland Park for lunch today. I ordered their latke trio: sweet potato, potato and zuchinni latkes. For $5.95 this was a very satisfying meal.

    Regards,
    Cathy2
