    some most delicious delivery....

As I lay here clutching my Kleenex box, weak from coughing, kicking myself for my missed flu shot appointment, I find myself starving.

I forget if you are to feed a flu or starve a cold but let's throw all that out the window and find me something delicious, hot, and deliverable to my germ infested abode by Granville and Western! Rogers Park Area....

A reasonably priced place that has fantastically flavorful roasted chicken would be fabulous! Oooh and maybe some good mashed potatoes!
I am open to anything but Indian! I don't think I can stomach it.

Is this even possible or am I just delirious from the Tamiflu? I am willing to send the husband out within a 5 mile radius if need be. But some good delivery would really hit the spot.

    Help a poor sicko out!

Thanks for any help you can give!
    Let's eat!

This is as close as I can come up with: Try the chicken vesuvio from Villa Palermo. Roast chicken, tons of garlic (good for you), and roast potatoes. With a sauce that'll leave you licking the pan and some bread, you won't be sorry.

I sort of had this dilemma last night but not with the germs. I really didn't want to cook and yet I didn't want pizza, middle eastern or pasta. Doesn't leave much up in my hood. So...i ended up ordering from The Fireside -- got a pretty decent filet mignon, country mashed potatoes, a very crisp salad with garlicky ranch dressing and a little sliver of red velvet cake. You might be able to get a good grilled chicken breast from here with the accompaniments. It will not be an amazing meal. But it might serve.

Also --- Calo has pretty decent vesuvio -- both for pork chops and for chicken. And if they have tuscan bean soup -- Get it! It's really tasty. You might be able to get good kabob chicken or steak from Andies or Reza's -- and both have decent soup.

Unfortunately, the Andersonville/Edgewater/part of Rogers Park neighborhoods seems to be a delivery disaster area. I wish those delivery services in the loop would deliver up this far north -- it's not cheap but occasionally, I'd like to get something actually good for dinner delivered. Instead of something that's "not bad"

    Sister in your delivery struggle...
