Tony Rocco's is a tidy, tiny little place in River North--on Ontario between the former Chilpancingo and Reza's--that opened about a month ago. It's homestyle Italian, though the menu has a few twists, like old school broasted chicken and an extra thin crust pizza (the arugula version is especially good). The lasagna is insanely big, but as good as you can get. I found it to be a warm, inviting place, with an enthusiastic staff. If possible, try to get the table by the fireplace. In my three visits since the opening, there were a few new restaurant miscues (one entree came out lukewarm, another had fingerprints from the kitchen all over the the plate), but these were pretty small lapses considering. Worth a look.
