They took the plywood off of the doors exposing some very detailed glasswork. Looks like the tin roof and most lighting fixtures are in. Something tells me they are rushing to be open for a St. Patrick's Day start.

Yes, it will be called O'Shaughnessy's and one of the main guys, Michael, said that they want to be open by end of March. When I went in they were in full construction but the bar was in and it looks like it will be warm and inviting.

Homer: Are you saying you're never going to eat any animal again? What about bacon? Ham? Pork chops?
Lisa: Dad, those all come from the same animal.
Homer: Heh heh heh. Ooh, yeah, right, Lisa. A wonderful, magical animal.

It's due to all those crazy North Side kids with names like "Brendan" and "Maureen." It's bad enough that every new bar is a fauxpub; I really hate it when venerable businesses morph into Irish Pubs.
I mean, Zephyr had milkshakes with hard liquor -- in the milkshake. It made me feel like I was in my living room.
See also Schulien's.
Jeff, I love Ginger's, Atlantic, PJ Clarkes, etc. but have to draw the line somewhere, B.

The last two or three times I went to Zephyr's it smelled strongly of sewage. Yeah, fool me three times, shame on me, but I wonder if that had anything to do with its closing.

Interesting concept. You don't see too many Irish pubs on the North Side.
Maureen thats so funny. When the first one or two opened they were great. Now its kind of like a whole chain thing with these places. Seems like one guy designed em all. I do like the place on Lawrence by Austin only because it seems to have the largest number of Irish transplants in it. And it has Australian football on tv which I have no understanding of but love to watch.
The 1st Irish pub i ever drank in Connellys on Devon, when I was 17.
