osaka sushi and smoothies

I tried Osaka Express, and i'm surprised there are no posts on this place. While it's certainly not up in the competition for best sushi, IMO that would have to be Mirai or Katsu. However I have to say for quick sushi downtown it was amazing. The rice and fish were the perfect texture and temperature, and it is made to order fresh unlike most express places. I ordered a rainbow roll so I could sample the various fish offerings in one piece. For $9 it was a deal since there were probably about 9 decent Nigiri sized pieces of raw fish draped across the roll. I know there is always a shortage of good places to eat downtown so I thought I'd bring this up for those of you who work downtown. Oh, and they have smoothies, the avocado smoothie was certainly satisfying.

Love it, Laikom! Even better than the (very inexpensive and well-prepared) sushi are the bubble and fruit teas, which knock the socks off Joy Yee's. This is my must-hit pause that refreshes every time I'm at Roosevelt or the Fine Arts Building.
