Taco and Burrito Palace

I try to never waste calories on so-so or plain bad food. If there is nothing great around and I'm hungry I'll just grab a salad or the healthist item I can find. Having said that, I had a very long day of drinking yesterday (9 hours) and was dragged blurry eyed in to the newly moved Taco and Burrito Palace on Halsted where I preceeded to order three pork tacos. These were not the traditional Tacos al Pastor that we all wax and wane about here on LTH. They were huge and stuffed with enough meat to make 10 tacos, covered in sour cream, and topped with lettuce and tomato. I had no expectations, and wasn't even thinkin about tasting the food, just get it down. Well, I am some what ashamed to say at that moment, under those conditions those tacos were fantastic. The pork was flavorful and moistm, sour cream yum. I scarfed down all three, and my stomach is not happy with me this morning, yet I can't stop thinking about them. I am sure if I went back stone sober they would be blah, maybe even bordering on gross, but if you find yourself hungery after 6 to many drinks you might want to jump in here.
