My boyfriend and I are setting up a meeting for the parents, and thought watching a Bears game on a Sunday would be a good route to take.
Mine live in Evanston, his live in Schaumburg. Can anyone recommend a good place to have a meal/watch the game in either hood? Or ideally somewhere in between (Park Ridge maybe?)

I don't have a recommendation, but I wanted to make sure you were aware that there is no Bears game this Sunday.

You might consider Prairie Moon in Evanston. It's equally a restaurant and a bar. There are televisions all around the main room, so you can watch the game. The televisions don't take over the room (or a whole wall), however. So if you are looking for more of a sports bar, this isn't the place. You'll be able to watch the game, but it you end up wanting to talk more, the game won't interfere.

They have good beer and good food. They open at 10am on Sunday. If it's important, you might want to call to see what time they start serving alcohol.

Another good option, next door to Prairie Moon, is Tommy Nevin's. Plus, if it's a noon game, there will be an informal group of Irish musicians coming in to play after the game.

However, the beer list is better at Prairie Moon.

The closest thing to a sportsbar in Park Ridge would be El Famous Burrito. The food is nothing to write home about and the margaritas are too sweet, but there are a few mexican beers and some ok tacos on the menu, and a full bar. The best thing the place has going are the several flat screen tv's and some highboy tables to give the place a sportsbar feel. For a town that was dry a couple decades ago, this is a giant leap.

A better option is Moretti's in Edison Park, Chicago. Good pizza, decent bar fare, plenty of TV's.

If you're looking for somewhere trendier, with good pizza, that might be showing the game, try Union Pizzeria. I understand they sometimes use the TVs for the games; not at all sure what their criterion is.

I wouldn't bet the farm on them turning the TV (with audio) to a football game, but it's moot, anyway, unless it's a night game - Union doesn't even open til 4 on Sunday and 4:30 on Monday. Also, they don't take reservations. (And to be honest, this is one massively overrated restaurant, IMO. Sure not worth the long drive from Schaumburg!)

I second the Moretti's recommendation in Edison Park. Solid enough food. Lots of TVs and a good waitstaff.
