My wife and I along with a small group of friends (and their new babies) (6 - 8 people total) are taking it easy this year and staying at my house on New Year's Eve. I want to get an excellent meal catered, and I'm looking for suggestions. I live in Arlington Heights if proximity is a concern. I don't have much experience with catering except from Buona Beef, so I'm not even sure where to start.

Thanks in advance for the help.

I would start by calling some of your favorite restaurants. You'd be surprised how many of them will cater a party with enough advance notice.

Another option is to hire a personal chef for the evening. Here's a local directory:

i don't know how far they travel in the 'burbs but Fox & Obel is great. I've used them in the past and you can get as affordable (cheese and veggies) and as expensive (dry aged beef, oysters, foie gras) as you like.

If you'd like the whole shebang taken care of, with excellent staff so you won't have to lift a finger, we still have availability on New Year's Eve. Here's a link to some former LTH clients that have used us.

Feel free to contact me at (773) 793-1035.
