Girly Reunion Thingy - Where to Eat?

My boyfriend's sister is having a reunion-type get-together. There will be 6-8 of us meeting noonish in the Schaumburg area on Saturday, 2/28. I recall the last family gathering (albeit with 12+) at Big Bowl was my own private hell, as it was so noisy and crazy.

Any suggestions, besides sushi, pizza, or Olive Garden/Ruby Tuesday etc., that are not expensive with a noise level that does not impede conversation? I'll be meeting some of these chicks for the first time.

Chowpatti is an idea, and there seems to be a nice selection of other Indian joints, but I'd like to offer a few more to choose from.
