I am thinking for our first father's day, steak and eggs would be the perfect brunch option. The problem, however, is that I have absolutely no clue where to go and actually have no clue about steak as I am not a red meat eater. In any case, I can say that the man in question likes steaks at Bistro Campagne, North Pond and West Town Tavern. Any suggestions for a brunch version? Also suggestions for other great steak places are always welcome. Otherwise, I might just have to learn to cook a steak on the grill by Sunday...

The brunch at Tallulah is very good. Here's a menu (scroll down for the brunch menu):

Not sure if this is what you are looking for, though. Also, they did a special Mother's Day brunch with a different menu, so I'd call to see what they are doing for father's day.

Great steak & eggs on the brunch menu at Prairie Grass Cafe. I think that someone who likes the spots you've listed would be happy at Prairie Grass. Great desserts, eggs benedict, housemade sausage, too. We took my mom for Mother's Day and she couldn't have been happier.

It's not in the city, but is right off the Edens in Northbrook at 601 Skokie Blvd.

Depot Diner has steak and eggs on their menu. I haven't had it, but if it's like everything else on the menu, it should be good (altho it will probably be a grilled diner steak rather than a prime steakhouse version):

Tango Sur's Milanesa a caballo is a great steak and egg experience.
