Has anyone heard any details about the wine tasting and dinner at Taxim on Monday?
I heard they are hosting a famous Greek wine maker.....is there such a thing? :?:
What about the menu? Do you think it will be worth a try? I am not familiar
with greek wines and therefore, not sure what to expect.

The man is named George Skouras and he's a very well-respected Greek winemaker (a legend of sorts, from what I hear). He'll be at this event at Avli in Winnetka the night before.

We'll partner Chef Carrie's food with amazing Greek wines from Skouras, Domaine Sigalas and others. George will share stories and educate us on modern Greek wine as we experience wine and food pairings that will completely change your opinion of this historic region. Don't miss it!

Went to the dinner/wine pairing at Taxim last night
It was probably one of the best meals I have ever had in my life.
The food outdid the wine- which is how it should be.
My favorite was the seafood trio, the roe, and cabbage salad.
The main entree-the goat with quince was fantastic, but I think I was
too full at that point to really appreciate.
