    From the site:
    Gift Certificate Summary

    From this page, you can:

    • Mark this certificate as "used"
    • Remind yourself who you gave it to, if it was given as a gift
    • Make notes for yourself on the certificate or restaurant
    • View and print your certificate

Please note: This is a self-management system. A certificate will only be displayed as “used” if you mark it as “used.” This system is provided as a purchase management system only and is not update by Restaurant.com with the exception of adding certificates you have purchased.

Apparently, you need to keep track of which ones are used.

Read the info that has been povided for you under "Manage Your Certificates."

YOU are responsible for managing your certificates. You are to keep track of which one you've used.

From a customer service perspective that makes no sense. They KNOW if a coupon has been used. Why is it so hard for them to update the customer side of things? I don't have to update my "has it shipped" page at Amazon....

I'd assume that the customer service you speak of would open up a giant sized can of worms. And those worms would not be free. Just an assumption.
