I have a friend coming in town this weekend and we're going to Rockit bar and grill, downtown location (as it's now a University of Michigan bar for the Sat football games) and was wondering if anyone's tried their Kobe Beef and Lobster burgers. Both are $20 a pop and after reading reviews on yelp some people swear by them and others seem to think they're both overrated and bland. The truffle and sweet potato fries are complimented many times but the views on these burgers are to the extreme (positive and negative) and so I thought I'd ask LTH on their opinions if you've had a chance to sample either of these. Any other suggestions for anything noteworthy for a foodie would be appreciated. I've never ordered food from Rockit and only gone for drinks, the menu looks creative compared to most bar fare but wanted to know if this place lives up to it's hype. Not expecting the burger to be as amazing as Kuma's or Rosebud's but hopefully something much better than the norm to chomp down while watching some football. Thanks!

I like their burger better than Kumas! Haven't tried the kobe or lobster though. Friendly service. Entrees not as great as the burger. Hope you enjoy!

I had the Kobe burger and truffle fries meal a couple years ago and the combination was so rich it made me ill. Not that it didn't taste awesome, but it was way over the top in richness IMO.

I absolutely love anything that's truffled.. and even moreso when it's fried in duck fat AND truffled. I haven't been to Kumas in some time but I do remember liking their burgers although I gotta say I love Rockit's menu, always very good every time I've been.

If they have mac and cheese on the menu, I'd get that.
