I met my family for brunch here last week, and we enjoyed the food.
Steak & Eggs Grilled 6oz New York Strip with tarragon butter, two organic eggs and redskin potatoes(Please excuse Mama happy_stomach's "well done" everything, including eggs.)
Pork Belly SandwichSmoked pork belly, fried egg, arugula, tomato, garlic aioli with redskin potatoesMy aunt thought the meat was too lean, though this is a common complaint when it comes to pork belly in the happy_stomach family.
Tofu Scramble French beans, spinach, leeks, tomatoes, roasted garlic, lemon zest & basil puree served with crispy polenta and dark rye toastI didn't order this, but I expected more of a traditional scramble than a salad. For me, the combination of flavors didn't really work.
Pancetta Biscuits & Gravy Buttermilk biscuits smothered in Italian sausage gravy topped with house-cured pancetta, shallot frizzle and organic eggThis was the favorite at our table. It had a nice balance of flavors and textures. The rich and peppery gravy was excellent.
Steamed PEI MusselsHard cider, blue cheese, leek and appleI'm the weirdo who ordered mussels for breakfast, and I did not like this preparation. Specially, the menu listed the apple as Granny Smith, but my order came topped with, I believe, Honey Crisp which was very discordant with the mildly sour and otherwise boring broth.

Despite service being very slow and a few misses with our food, I'd return to Revolution for brunch. There was no wait at 11am last Sunday, and it made for a very pleasant one-two punch with dessert and shopping at the indoor Logan Square Farmers Market afterward.
