Quick Recommendation

My girlfriend has to work late so I'm flying solo to dinner tonight. Any recommendations for a solo diner in Bucktown/Wicker Park? A nice beer list would be nice. I go to Big Star all the time so might be my default choice.

The Southern has great food. And it's sort of a bar setting -- so it'd work great for a solo diner. They have pretty good beer choices as i recall.

There's Lillie Q just a block down too -- but I've not eaten there so I can't endorse it personally. Looks tasty though.

If you're really hungry you could always go to Piece and consume a whole pizza. And they have great beer.

All within a block or two each other!

It's too late for last Friday, but Bluebird is nice - good beer list too. Fine for solo flier or groups.

Next time this happens, try Cafe Laguardia and then head one block over to the Map Room. Great food and great beer.
