Recs for 30th birthday weekend

Visiting Chicago for my 30th birthday at the end of July with my mom and sister. I am a pescatarian and my sister is kind of food boring (won't even eat sushi and considers American "Chinese" food to be ethnic), hope she doesnt read this, ha. Me and mom, on the otherhand, love to try new things and eat where locals eat and like drinks with dinner. So we need something that can satisfy us all. I've never been to Chicago and I would like to try a little bit of everything. Any recs for the best pizza, view of the city, and where you would take your fam to eat if they have never been to Chicago would be greatly appreciated. We're going to be in river north area and it can't break the bank because mom is buying! Thanks!
