I decided to post about this bakery after eating the above-pictured cake. Like the metromix blurb states, it is a point and buy place unless you speak Polish. When I inquired about what kind of cake this was, I was told, "Apricot", when it fact it was pineapple. I also asked for a slice and was given a loaf size piece with nearly six slices.
No matter, it was delicious.--the perfect balance of moist cake and whipped cream and fruit. What I'm not so sure about is the top of this cake. It is like a "cream puff" on top and I'm curious how they accomplish this in the kitchen. It has to be baked first, and then cut to size and placed on top after filling.
What originally brought me to this bakery is the pazcki. I found their version quite authentic: bready, yeasty, barely sweet, with just a touch of filling, and a thin white icing. The prune was delicious, but I tried several others as well.
