Just out of curiosity, where were you coming from?

NJ. And yes, we are fans of a certain NY baseball team that everyone hates...

I often run into that but real fans always have respect for the opposition.

Very glad you enjoyed your visit... (Go Yanks!)

I'm sorry but this is incorrect. The vendors walk around with those options in the seats, yes, but there are multiple beer stands throughout the park with a much wider selection of nicer beers and supermarket-brand (i. e. nothing fancy) wine.

Indeed... beers like Heineken and Beck's and Corona are certainly available in both ballparks and have been for a while.

Drat. I guess I was lied to by a beer vendor and two different food court employees. Oh well, no big loss! Glad to hear that you guys have more than two options.

Does anyone have any recommendations for decent pizza near U.S. Cellular Field?

A bunch of friends and I are renting a house nearby this weekend (just north of Pershing, between Halsted and the Dan Ryan), mostly people from out of town. We're having 20+ people over on Friday night. We were going to do Ed's Potsticker's, but the logistics of getting all those people to make a decision on Chinese food and then order all of it is a little daunting, so we've decided on pizza instead.

A Google search for the area resulted in the following choices:
Freddie's, which is closed due to the fire
    Phil's Pizza
    Miller Pizza Co.
    Lina's Pizza
    Ricobene's
    Connie's

There's also a Home Run Inn pizza on 31st, but I'm not sure we're in their delivery area. My friend who's co-planning the weekend with me likes Giordano's, and there's one up by UIC, but again, not sure if we're in their delivery area.

I've never had Connie's or Home Run Inn at one of their restaurants- are they good? Their frozen pizza's good, as frozen pizzas go, but not sure how they compare to fresh.

I think we'd prefer a place that has a website that we can forward to all the attendees for an opinion on what they want ahead of time, so Phil's and Lina's may not be the best option unless they're really better than the others.
