Definitely not Arun's. Waited years to go there and what a disappointment it was.

For me it's not even close, Schwa...assuming you can get a reservation, and don't care about potentially having to reschedule. Otherwise, Vie.

These days, my choice would be EL Ideas, but that's only because it's new and interesting for me. Schwa is probably the most loved here on LTH, but my meal there was not very memorable.

My answer differs depending on how you define "best food". Most delicious? Vie. Most creative? Schwa. Most fun? Graham Elliot. Best value? Inovasi. Best brunch? Cafe des Architectes.

And for downsides to consider... Most difficult reservation to make, and most likely to cancel? Schwa. Most overpriced? Arun's. Most inconvenient location for those near downtown? Inovasi (also Vie).

It isn't easy to get reservations at EL either. That would be my pick, but I haven't been to every place on your list.

I've been to every place on that list except for Inovasi and EL Ideas. My answer is "what nsxtasy said" (other than "Best Value? Inovasi", obviously).

I haven't been to EL due to difficulty in getting reservations, but Schwa gets my vote in this list.

    *edit*

Are you working within a certain time frame, or is this open ended?

Schwa, hands down, but the probability that you can get a reservation is slim to none, so jokes on you.

To paraphrase sdrucker, that must be the first time that "difficulty in getting reservations" and "Schwa" have been in the same sentence without being linked.

Haha, the last time I tried to make reservations at Schwa, I've been able to get through and make one, only to have him cancel due to a 'water issue' flooding the kitching.

Which, sad to say, has been much further than I've gotten with EL. The only response I've gotten from that restaurant have been 1-2 tables for last minute cancellation, asking for name and credit card info to hold one of those spots (extremely strange to me since that probably get a bunch of responses with names and credit card info for maybe 1-2 table openings).

I have been fortunate to eat at Schwa once a couple years back, maybe back when they had a better plumber working for them.
