So I recently moved from the West Loop to the Gold Coast...love the new place but miss my west loop restaurants :? Anyways I get off work late (around 2am) and one place thats been my recent go to is Chi-Town Pizza....I searched on the boards here and while its been mentioned, it doesnt have its own thread....That surprises me as it is some very good pizza! Ive have some pretty weak pizza in chicago (esp. too sweet sauce, doughy crusts, plasticy cheese...ect) but Chi Town hits it on the mark...

Just thought I'd share my thoughts and tell u it deserves more love!

Weird, I swear there were other posts about Chi-Town Pizza on here, but I can't seem to find them (even using the Google "site:lthforum.com" trick).

Anyway, I'm a fan of Chi-Town Pizza as well...we used to live around the corner, and ordered from there from time to time, and were always pleased with them. I thought their prices were rather steep ($25 for a large with two toppings!), but when I was in the mood for a good ol' American-style, semi-floppy slice with a crust that has some chew to it, it hit the spot.

Incidentally, one of the funnier 3am drunk moments I've ever witnessed was at Chi-Town Pizza: a young kid, flush with liquid courage, loudly proclaimed to one and all that he could eat the spiciest of the spicy, and that the "Gringo Killer" would surely be a joke to his palate of steel. He purchased not one, but two slices of the "Gringo Killer", took a giant bite, then another...beads of sweat started to form on his forehead, but he soldiered on and took another huge bite. He started shaking, then heaving, and proceeded to violently hurl into the trash can by the register. When he was finished, the gentleman manning the register handed him some napkins to clean himself up...the kid tossed the rest of his pizza and sheepishly slunk out of the restaurant as all the folks in line laughed at him.
