I had a nice meal last night at Santorini. Greek Islands had a long wait, and one member of our party had a hankering for sea bass, so we went across the street. He was admirably served by a special of whole black sea bass. The waiter offered to debone it, but our friend did his own. The fish was moist and succulent. Grilled swordfish was also quite flavorful, and a very large portion.

One should probably stick to seafood. "Greek chicken" was only adequate: the skin was soft, and it tasted strongly of paprika rather than the lemon-oregano I was expecting.

Appetizer cold spreads were all very nice, especially the melitzanosalata, and so was the grilled octopus and the feta with peppers and olives. Loukaniko had good flavor but too soft a texture.

Service was good. I could wish the restaurant was a little less dimly lit.

I still prefer Greek Islands, but I'd go back to Santorini on occasion.
