A few days ago, someone commented Edgebrook Diner had closed. Not only closed, the building had been knocked down.

I called their phone number to learn they are still alive.

    Regards,

Edgebrook Diner is alive and well. It's changed hands three or four times since Dimitri & Christina owned the place and has gone farther and farther downhill with each ownership change. Where there was once a line out the door on weekends and some weekdays, you can now walk right in at any time and grab a seat at the counter. The confusion might be based on the fact that the building next door has some major construction going on.

On two very recent Saturdays while estate saling, husband and I dropped in and I thought it was just fine. Friendly service, good, reasonably priced food and great coffee. I have certainly have had far worse diner experiences. The only thing I hate is that parking is a bit difficult.

Does anyone know if they still serve biscuits and gravy? I didn't spot it anywhere.

The Edgebrook Diner has been mercifully put out of its misery. It's closed up tight with a For Rent sign on the window. I'll always remember the golden days, but honestly it was never the same after Dimitri and Christine sold the joint. I stopped going years ago, though I did try it once under each successive new owner just in case.
