Any thoughts on someplace for lunch on Saturday near Shedd? We are taking my mom to the aquarium for her birthday 82nd(she is dying to go there after many years!) and we'd like to take her someplace for lunch that's pretty.. she's pretty old world elegant. thanks for your suggestions, in advance!!

Russian Tea Time was also my first thought, unless she doesn't eat that kind of food -- my parents would have loved it, my in-laws would have been horrified... Perhaps there are lighter things on the menu, but I think of the food as relatively heavy -- but delicious. And the atmosphere is definitely on the elegant side.

There are probably lots of other places, but for old world elegant, this would certainly fill the bill.

Ditto--Russian Tea Time was the 1st place I thought of. Would have loved to take both my grandmas there if I'd had the opportunity!
