i don't see any mention of
township so i'll start the ball rolling. i've only made one visit to this logan square restaurant, but i'm familiar with the cooking style of tamiz, one of the owners and the chef, from his restaurant Treat. this spot is the kind of place i love, and is getting harder to find. the space itself looks like it's been a bar/restaurant for many decades. its very laidback and casual (full liquor license) and not a place to 'see or be seen'. just a place for generous portions of food with an indian flair. i had a beer battered cod sandwich on a fantastic ciabatta roll, with a large pile of wilted spinach as a side. i remember this as being straight off the menu at treat. my friend ordered off the brunch menu, having a large sag paneer omelet. service was quick, and at 2pm on a saturday the place wasn't crowded. they also have tables outside. this is the kind of spot to hang out, and linger over another drink or cup of coffee and no one will glare at you. they also have live music at night and long hours.
