Georgio's Pizza Coming soon in South Barrington

Very excited to learn today that Georgio’s Chicago Pizzeria in Downtown Crystal Lake is opening a location at the The Arboretum of South Barrington. I lived in Crystal Lake for a while and moved to Bartlett and miss Georgio’s. I hope its the same, it will be a very welcome addition

I've heard some good things about this place, so on my way back from Galena Saturday night I noticed it was conveniently located right off I-90 and Route 59. I went with the deep dish pizza and I have to say it was excellent. It reminded me of Gino's East or Pizzeria Uno/Due with a very similar crust and smooth sauce. I'll definitely go back if in the area (or in Crystal Lake). I can see how the Crystal Lake location won Best Pizza in McHenry County 7 years in a row - it's a solid version of Chicago Deep Dish.
