Steve's 77 Ice Cream?

Hello all!

Recently, I very indirectly heard about "Steve's 77 Ice Cream" in Hyde Park, an operation apparently run by a man (Steve?) who has been making and selling ice cream from his garage... since 1977? Possibly? I've heard of people who have heard of people who went there, but I haven't been able to find it at all. The Yelp pages directed me to pretty obviously vacant addresses, and its posted phone number seemed to be defunct.

Have any of you eaten there? Or possibly heard anything about it? Any leads would be immensely appreciated. Thank you so much!

Not sure this helps, but there was a chain of Steve's Ice Cream franchised stores that was launched in the 1970s, but then started to falter when Steve's parent started to also sell the Steve's brand in grocery store, where it was positioned as a superpremium to compete with Ben & Jerry's and Haagen Dazs. The company went through a number of owners, and I've read someone has been trying to resurrect the Steve's ice cream store franchise in recent years.
