Possibly one of the most mainstream requests imaginable, but not part of my normal rounds:
Meeting an out-of-town friend-of-a-friend and looking for someplace walkable within the north-south parameters of Oriental Theater, and Dearborn/Kinzie.
Needn't be glam, but interesting in some way would be a plus as she's just in town for the week and it would be nice to show her something fun.
Probably light food is desirable, as she's coming off a performance.
And, I have no idea what she likes, though speaking for myself and scores of others, actors aren't usually too picky.
Should be quiet enough to converse.
I guess I'm thinking something a bit livelier than 3rd Coast, but not all the way to super-modern hotel bar with interplanetary cocktail program.
    Any suggestions welcome.

Do you mean arrive at 11 or leave by 11? There are many places that close at 11. The day of the week matters also. Some places close later on Fridays or Saturdays.

If she's in the show it will for sure be arrive after 11, yes? Mon-Thurs I'd recommend Roof, it's cool with a beautiful view. Friday and Saturday you might want to find something more low-key.

Bijans Bistro and Pops For Champagne are both open until late and serve light food. They're about a 10-15 minute walk from the Oriental Theater, a little further than you wanted to go, but only by a couple of blocks.

For the record, yes, arriving at 11, or perhaps a bit later. Still TBA. Love Bijan's; have to see if she wants to walk. Will definitely check out Wit. It's Thurs. eve. Will Wit be packed? Talk-friendly? I know Bijan is. Thanks.
