Just checked out that new Italian sandwich spot attached to Formento's today. Ordered the meatball sandwich and was pretty happy with it. Bread was solid and the meatball itself was very tasty. The only problem with it was the giardiniera topping. I get that they are perhaps trying to keep it Italian authentic but the pickled carrot and cauliflowers just did not do the trick at all. Next time I'll add Bari's or Grazianos' giard and it could very well add up to one of the best meatball sandos in the city. I'm also looking forward to trying Nonna's chicken parm or sausage offerings.
