I went to a dinner recently at the Rice Table.
The venue they now have is perfect for the 14 or so folks that attended. Nice, intimate but with enough room that one doesn't feel cramped.
I was solo but thankfully the table was a really talkative bunch.
As for the food, there were some very good items and some items that were just ok such as green beens w/a sweet soy sauce.

I would agree with this statement.
For instance I prefer the rendang served at Penang in Rolling Meadows/Arlington Heights as it is more aggressive with the spicing.
I hope to schedule a dinner in the future with the Rice Table and am hoping that the chef will work with me on a more aggressive menu.
Edited to add: perhaps the title could be edited to better reflect what the Rice Table is about.
I did absolutely nothing and it was everything I thought it could be.
