Just stumbled back onto this thread, and appreciate all who are posting their experience.
This morning, my DH declared, "Tonight, I want Chinese!"... we used to eat twice a month at Young's in Glenview. While I know it was not good in many people's minds, it was the standard for my family for 50 years (literally.) I can honestly say, regarding seeking the ultimate Cantonese food -I think everyone's experience is predicated on the dishes they eat regularly and seeking that same texture, flavor, ingredients they are used to. For instance, in our home it is the egg rolls (seeking large with peanut butter, --I know, I know - read other thread - I have, several times!), Egg Fu Young, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Chicken Chow Mein, Shrimp w/ Lobster Sauce, Mongolian Beef, Mu Shu, and of course- Fried Rice. I will venture up to Felix' tonight and have my fingers crossed my family will be pleased. Thanks to ALL for sustaining this quest. So nice to know I am not alone!

I am very embarrassing by my error. I have been surfing on my Kindle and the version of LTH that appears there is very compromised. I had even been inside the China Kitchen thread, but after awhile these Chines Food threads have become jumbled in my mind. Please forgive my error. The search continues.
