At that odd intersection of Wood Dale and Irving Park Road, in the northeast crotch, is a little shop called Taco Tuesday. I've only actually been there once. It's near my office and some of my coworkers go there pretty often so almost all of my experience has been carry out. I've had tacos: picadillo, chorizo, chicken, lengua. They're all good.
However, the al pastor is the star. Plenty of pineapple, cut off the trompo to order, deep red color. Fat and lean proportioned, well seasoned. My coworker has befriended the owner who says they go through two trompos a day and do a fair weekend catering business.
I do wish the table salsas were a little better but who needs it?
Go here for al pastor, it's good stuff.
