So...do you get run over like a dog in the street before you get your grub from Greek Feast or after? I do like the food, but I passed on it last week when I saw multiple cars trying to get in the parking lot about 6:45 PM.

I don't like having to cross Dundee Road. I simply reported what they now suggest. At the very least, they are seeking some relief.

Maybe they should send a worker out there with a big orange flag to escort people across the street. I saw this done on Connecticut Ave, NW in Washington, DC last summer. Once drivers saw the flag they stopped, pedestrians were able to walk across the street. They had buckets at both ends collecting these flags. The first time I was there, I didn't understand the system or the need for flags. It was taking your life in your hands to cross the street.

That will likely happen ... after somebody gets hurt crossing the street.

The last couple of times I have been at this intersection, I have seen a surprising amount of pedestrians. There are a number of neighborhoods close by and with the DQ right there, I have to guess they get a little foot traffic. Not to say it is ideal, but given the ordeal I went through trying to find a space while just picking up a takeout order last time I was there, the bank parking is a big help.

Well, I had my first and last visit here this evening. I had my 13 year old nephew over for a few hours and he had a hankering for gyros. Even though I had read the previous comments about this place, I figure I'd give it a shot.

Getting in their parking lot at 5:30 was a breeze. However, I did see people walking over from the lot next door. No signs of Lincoln Towing lurking in the shadows.

Our meal arrived promptly. However, the party of three that sat near us sent their entrees back twice because the kitchen got the order wrong.

As expected, my nephew had a gyros sandwich and fries. I had the combo plate with gyros and pork souvlaki. What can I say? The meal lacked flavor. I can't pin down exactly what was missing. On a whim, I stole some meat from my nephew's sandwich thinking that I might have had a bad cut of meat. His was just as bland as mine. He only ate about half of his sandwich. The tzatziki gave it a little bit of life. From now on I'll leave my gyros in the capable hands of Pita Inn or Hubs.

On the other hand, my sister picked up the dinner tab in exchange for me keeping my nephew out of trouble for a few hours.

I was referring to quick casual/carryout spots. Psistaria is a good option and close to my office. I've never been to Nick's.

Ah. Unlike Psistaria, NIck's is a quick carry out spot that may fit the bill for you. Not a fan of their overly runny tzatziki, but the meat more than makes up for it.

At the previous site of Photo's in Mount Prospect (Kensington & Wolf) there is a sign for Greek Feast, now hiring. Local paper confirms same owner as the Northbrook restaurant, no sign of a giant aluminum gyros cone being built though.
