Has anyone else tried this? It's enough for me to login here to praise it.
Tonight we were ordering delivery and I had a craving for South Indian food. Sadly that's not easy to find in delivery range of Logan Square. But when I served for Dosa on Caviar I found this place. The fees for delivery were kind of high but I was impressed with the selection so I took a gamble.

    First the South Indian stuff:
Idly: a fav of mine, these are fluffy steamed cakes made with fermented rice and lentils. Served with sambar, a very spicy soup, and a really nice creamy coconut chutney. Idly soak these up like a sponge.

Rasam: a very spicy and acidic soup, this was a great rendition with a nice slow burn of spiciness and lots of fresh herbs.

Khaman dokla: I've never had this before but I ordered it because it sounded interesting. First impressions it looks like cornbread! It's made with chickpeas though and has a garnish of mustard seeds. Served with a different less creamy coconut chutney that had an excellent kick as well as a tamarind chutney. Loved it.

    More "standard" Indian restaurant favs:
Butter chicken: the best I've had in a long time. Rich and slightly spicy sauce with a lot more dimension than butter chicken usually has. Also it's dark meat chicken which I strongly prefer and is usually not offered in most nearby Indian restaurants.

Butter naan: Getting naan delivered is a crap shoot. I've had some really awful gummy naan recently from delivery places. But this naan was perfect. Crispy in some places and just perfectly flaky butteriness in others.

Mixed Vegetable Makini: OK this is a lot of butter. Makini also basically means butter. But what can I say I love butter. Daal makini was one of the first Indian dishes I ever had back in college at Bombay Indian Grill in Champaign and I fell in love. Unfortunately in many Indian restaurants I often find it is just the same sauce as the butter chicken/paneer and doesn't taste the same. Well this one isn't! It tasted almost identical to my favs. Buttery of course but also with a stronger ginger note and lots of fresh chilis.
