Today the LTH Evanston Lunch Group™ had lunch at Frida's. We all liked it a lot, and agreed that everything we had was very good!
Frida's is on Church Street, across the street from the main location of the Evanston Public Library.

As noted on the sign, they serve breakfast and lunch all day, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. They also have free wifi, which is quite quick.
The interior is not much different from that of its predecessor in this location, Bistro Bordeaux:

They offer a breakfast menu:

a lunch menu:

and a list of daily specials, most of which we ordered:

On the back of the daily specials, they list beverages, which are not exactly the same as those on the lunch menu:

In particular, several of us ordered and enjoyed the horchata from this section:

Here's what we had:
Avocado Toast - Mashed Avocado, Over Seven Grains Toast, Topped with Watermelon Radish, Roasted Salsa Verde, Soft Egg and Cilantro. Served with Fresh Fruit (which we chose) or House Salad.
Old-Fashioned Cobb Salad - Grilled chicken breast, chopped romaine lettuce, thick-cut applewood smoked bacon, cherry tomato, sliced hard-boiled egg, avocado, chopped green onions and bleu cheese crumbles with choice of dressing (we chose bleu cheese)
Guava Berry French Toast - Our Brioche French Toast Layered with Vanilla Mascarpone. Warm Guava Berry Compote. Topped with Toasted Almonds, Homemade Whipped Cream, and Powdered Sugar.
Chilaquiles Rancheros - Corn Tortilla Chips Sauteed on Our Ranchero Salsa, Baked with Chihuahua Cheese, Topped with Chopped Onions, Two Comal Fried Eggs, Guacamole and Drizzled with Sour Cream. Served with Spanish Rice
Crunchy Pork Hash - Pork Carnitas on a Mild Salsa Roja, Caramelized Onions, Chihuahua Cheese, Topped with Poached Eggs, Chicharron Strips, Avocado Salsa, and Pico de Gallo. Served with Warm Corn Tortillas
