A co-worker told me that this pizza was fantastic, so he picked me up a half-baked pie. It was the best pizza I ever had, and this was after cooking it from frozen. I wonder how much better a fresh from the store pizza would taste. Do not miss out on this pizza, it is that good.

Wow you guys have me really interested in this place, and it's quite a drive for me! But I can easily get off at 95th St from 294 and turn right on Roberts, so it's not too bad. Carry-out only? Looks like I'll be eating it in the car, but I don't mind! :)

I wish there was a little more description here (and that website needs to die a fiery death), but after look at some pictures of their pies, and the fact they're about 1/2 mile from my parents' place, I'll have to check them out along with Joe's Italian Villa Pizza (88th and Harlem) and compare.

I hope "great" means Fasano's is better than Joe's Italian Villa.

I've certainly had worse pizza than Joe's but it seems like standard-issue Chicago cracker crust, with tomato paste sauce, industrial cheese and extremely thin crust with little character. Excellent sausage though. Joe's has been around (at two different locations) for over 60 years so it seems people like it.

Yeah, it's mentioned to high regards a lot in the Burbank/Justice/Oak Lawn/Summit/Bridgeview/etc area, so it's always been one of those places on the list I've long meant to check out. The tomato-paste sauce description is disappointing--I hate how many places do that--but I'll still give it a fair shake. I'd like an option other than Palermo's in the general area. I do like Palermo's well enough, but I prefer something with a less sugary sauce. (And, of course, I know Vito & Nick's and eat there regularly, I just want something farther southwest.)

It took 10 years, but I made it to Fasano's yesterday and had the pizza in the car. The sausage was excellent, but the crust was too chewy and thick for a thin pizza. It was good for take out pizza, but not destination worthy.
