2201 N. Lincoln Ave. has had the windows papered over and a sign up saying "Coming Soon - Diner" for months, yesterday evening as I was walking by the paper was off and a sign on the window says it's called "Dash of Salt and Pepper Diner". According to their Facebook page they had their grand opening yesterday, hours are 7AM to 1PM so I didn't get a chance to check them out.

Wonder if these are the same folks who had Salt and Pepper Diner (further north on Lincoln, near Wrightwood). That place has been closed for years. I liked it, and if these are the same folks, I wish them well in the new location.

In the end that was fast. I drove past there on Sunday and it looked exactly like it has for months (or years). Just a "Coming soon - diner" sign as described. It had been up so long that I thought it was just some developer suggesting a use. 2 days later it was open - must have been work going on inside all along as the exterior never changed.

Wonder if there's any connection to the Salt and Pepper Diner that was on the 2500 block of Lincoln forever.

Apparently the owners are former employees of the old Salt & Pepper, and they hired a few other former employees to staff it.

Thanks for the info. I'm glad to see it lives on.
