I've got a card game coming up at Chicago and Ashland, basically, and we will need some pizza delivered. I poked around and found a reference to John's and to Oggi Trattoria. Anyone know if they deliver? Are they solid options? Or is there another place I should try?

    Thanks.

I know that Oggi delivers to Ukrainian Village; I don't know about John's. Oggi's pizza is okay, it definitely loses any luster it has through the delivery process. I generally don't do pizza delivery for that reason.

When my card game was at Erie and Ashland, we'd almost always order Lou Malnati's.

If you're looking for thin crust, i'd recommend Salerno's (on grand), ordered extra-thin. It's a good hybrid of chicago-thin and cracker crust. If you just order the thin, it's pretty mediocre.

John's is also good for a thinner pizza, but as mentioned in other threads, it suffers severely in transit.

I like Oggi and also like II Jack's for pizza delivery.

I'd say go with Oggi. They have the best thin crust to be found that delivers to Ukie Village.
If you want a deep dish give Mi Pie a try (the one at Armitage/Damen delivers to me at Chicago/Western so they should deliver to your location as well).
John's is great but you'd probably need to order 50% more pizzas than you'd figured as it is so thin/light it is usually not super filling.

Ditto on Mi Pie. Last time I was in town Jamison22 and I ordered a few there.
See this http://lthforum.com/bb/viewtopic.php?t=5629&highlight= for my thoughts on the sausage and gardinara deep dish. Good stuff!

If you ask them not to cut your pizza, the crust will stay much more intact in transit.

If you are talking about My Pie, I would also ask them to "half-bake" the pizza.

Finishing it off in the oven at home yields great results.

I've never been, but there's also Homemade Pizza Co. on 1953 W Wabansia Ave (773) 342-9600.

They will make a pie to order, but deliver it to you unbaked, so you simply finish it at home.
