Need recs for group of 25 near blue line stop

Post #1 - June 1st, 2006, 1:11 pmI'm trying to find a place for dinner on June 8 for a group of 25 people near a blue line stop. The budget including tax, tip is $25 per person.
I already called Piece, but they are booked for that night. Cafe Iberico would have worked, but they're too far from the blue line.
I'm desperate for other suggestions.

Post #7 - June 1st, 2006, 1:28 pmYour group must eat and drink a heck of a lot less than I do if you're able to get an all-inclusive meal at Iberico for under 25 bucks a head.
How about Cafe [url]Bolero[/url], just a few blocks from the Armitage stop? It's good Cuban food, and while there's no way my friends and I could escape from there for anything remotely like 25 bucks a person, you may be able to if you pull it off at Iberico. NB: the "under 8" price per entree listed in Metromix is either very, very old, or just a joke.

Post #10 - June 1st, 2006, 4:24 pmYeah, if you can get the upstairs room at Sabatino's, you'll be in good shape. The private room at Club Lucky is about the right size too. While not the greatest Italian restaurant in the world, it's a nice place with a good bar.

Post #11 - June 1st, 2006, 5:55 pmI participated in a group dinner at Rinconcito Sudamericano that came in around $20 per person--but no alchohol. They're on Armitage just east of Damen-- almost equidistant from the Damen blue line stop and the Western Blue Line stop-- I believe they are BYOB--which could seriously help out with the cost factor.
Centerstage.net has a neat feature of their site that allows you to view restaurants bars, etc. based on the red/blue/brown/etc. line stop that they're near---you might want to try it out for this particular search.
