I will be returning this weekend to Chicago for a wedding after a year away. Although I will have many obligations, I plan to hit these spots on my return:
Al's Italian Beef: big beef,hot peppers, dipped
Jim's Original:pork chop and polish please
Ed's Potsticker, Lamb w cumin, dandan noodles, soup dumplings, shredded pork with garlic
Sticky Rice: Issan sausage, nam prik awng (sic), and some other things I won't remember until I see the menu
Carnitas Don Pedro: Carnitas, plato surtido.
Stella's: Beer and Whiskey
If I had more time I'd eat all of Chicago. I still love reading about all of the new places but in my short allotment of time I am going to stick to these old favorites. Thanks to all for the food porn entertainment that makes this Kentuckian green with envy!
